Healthcare is Changing Rapidly

Whether you support or oppose the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare), unless it’s repealed, it will continue to dramatically reshape the way hospitals and care providers deliver healthcare within a community. The ACA has fundamentally changed the way insurance companies and the Federal Government issue reimbursements to individuals and healthcare providers.

The most significant change effecting healthcare is the notion of moving away from reimbursements on the patient treatment and towards a focus on treatment outcomes. To survive and thrive, hospital systems need to be able to partner with the leading community healthcare providers, public or private, for-profit or not-for-profit.

Our local hospitals and health care providers need to have the ability to do their job without interference from local legislators who want to micromanage health care policy. Washington politicians gave us Obamacare. Do we really want local politicians meddling with our local hospitals?
